Let’s enlighten their beautiful friendship, and how they grew trusting and loving together.
1. Two distinctive personalities
During an interview for Vogue Korea in October 2020, they shared their first impression of each other, and what they’re thinking now after a few years. Felix started, declaring he found HyunJin very handsome, hard-working, and ambitious when they met. He enjoys working with him now and said HyunJin like to play, like all of the members. He thinks his biggest quality is his height, being tall, and when Felix had to define who HyunJin is to him, he declared he’s a brother, part of his family. HyunJin had to answer the same questions, saying that Felix gave him the impression he was a very rich guy, having chains and jewels all over his body like a bad boy. He soon realized how gentle Felix really is, and still thinks the same. He also said he never met someone as angel-like, sweet, and gentle as Felix, and that he’s envious of his deep voice. He defines Felix as a really important friend to him, showing that even though they had their up and down in their relationship, it strengthened it, and they grew as really close friends. They then had to choose between looking at each other or hugging for a minute, and to Felix’s surprise, HyunJin hugged him, being not someone who usually likes physical touch. It is a way for HyunJin to show his affection towards Felix, enjoying their time together during the interview. Members of the group even declared once that if Felix is water, HyunJin is fire. They are complementing each other, and are two really close friends who can trust each other. They’re like magnets, always together.

He unveiled the secret of his wallet, being: an id picture of HyunJin! Felix declared on that matter that HyunJin gave it to him to use it whenever, so Felix has been holding on to it since then. Actually, it is not the first time a member of the group is seen carrying around a pic of another member since Han had a picture of Lee Know on his phone, and Lee Know had an id picture of Han as well.
2. A deep friendship
The two boys share matching friendship rings, a silver-colored ring for HyunJin and a gold-colored one for Felix. This precious gift from HyunJin is meaningful to Felix, who has always taken great care of it and has never taken it off since he received it. Plus, it was a ring that didn’t even cost $10, proving that money doesn’t necessarily buy friendship, but the caring behind such a gift does. HyunJin having revealed where he had purchased the rings, fans then rushed to order and to be matched with the two boys. During an interview for Billboard magazine, the two rappers proudly showed off their rings.
On their official YouTube channel, they shared a longer interview, starting to share the presents they gave to each other for their birthdays and paintings. It was actually the first time HyunJin gave a painting he made to someone, making it even more precious to Felix. HyunJin talk more about this new hobby, declaring he did some research beforehand to know what kind of materials he had to buy to paint. The other members watching their interview also enlightened the fact that both Felix and HyunJin like to try new things, and that they’re really passionate about their hobbies. They’re pretty much the same regarding their free time, even though Felix likes to cook and HyunJin draw. Members reacting to the interview think they have the same humor, that’s why they’re close and spend a lot of time together, having true friendship chemistry. They also hug a lot and like to perform on stage together, as they’re giving each other a lot of feedback about their work. During a touching moment in the interview, Felix beautifully declared “We were meant to be together as friends and family. When I think about you, I feel like I have another reason to live “. Nothing could show how strong is their friendship more than these words.
3. Their love for art
Art can be multiple things, like fashion, music, or drawings. Both HyunJin and Felix are known for their fashion sense. Recently, both attended Yves Saint Laurent‘s YSL Beauty LIBRE LE PARFUM party in Paris, with EXO’s Kai and the singer Dua Lipa. Felix and HyunJin even shared a picture with Dua Lipa during the event, making fans crazy about it. Moreover, they’re breaking from time to time gender roles through fashion. In an interview for Arena Homme Plus magazine in January 2021, Felix declared “I think it’s cool when a male model pulls off female clothing really well or sports eye-catching hair and makeup.” He also added that he likes “fashion that transcends boundaries and imagination”. Both enjoy some shopping together, sharing a common interest in fashion. Felix laughed saying he’s a big spender, compare to HyunJin who’s a big saver in daily life, but when they shop, it’s the complete opposite.

On Instagram, he sometimes shows his creations, and he even reached famous celebrities, such as Hugh Jackman who commented “An amazing artist you are” regarding HyunJin’s paint in the air. Hugh Jackman is a fan of Stray Kids, alongside Ryan Reynolds, proving that Stray Kids popularity is reaching out to the world. Finally, during a live Tik Tok in June, Felix and HyunJin shared their current playlist, consisting of Duncan Laurence’s ‘Arcade’, Lee SeungChul’s ‘Fate’, Twice’s ‘Scientist’ and ‘The Feels’, Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Traitor’, Lana Del Rey’s ‘Young and Beautiful’, Coldplay’s ‘O’ and Ark Patrol ft.
