Up until now, fans participated in the ranking by pressing the Up/Down Button, and the ranking was made from its combination. However, many global fans have shared their negative opinions about pressing the Down vote button of the artists. Kpopmap also realized this problem. Therefore, we decided to remove the Down vote button for this new voting method. However, if we happen to delete all the previous Down vote data, this would delete all the fans voting unilaterally and this also seemed to be problematic. This also would bring a lot of changes to the existing ranking made by fans. To solve issues linked to the change of voting method, Kpopmap decided to reflect the data (data before the change of voting method) of fans who participated in the votes at the maximum and decided to transfer the existing data as below to supplement the problems: The previous method: The ranking was made out of addition of the Up and Down (Up - Down). The new method: Only the Up votes will make the ranking (Up). Here is how we converted the previous data to the new ranking: Previous Up + (Previous Up votes - Previous Down votes). However, if the difference between previous Up-Down is negative, the data will be treated as 0). For Example:
In the case of the TREASURE’s JunKyu, his amount of up votes are higher than his down votes. Calculating with the formula [total of up votes + (previous up votes - previous down votes)], his new result is: 21,886 + (21,886-18,281) = 21,886 + (3,605) = 25,491. And in the case of the ENHYPEN’s Sunoo, his amount of down votes are higher than his up votes. Using the same formula, his result is: 8,967 + (8,967 - 11,409) = 8,967 + (0) = 8,967.
