There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other’s stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other. So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias. Chan from Argentina is the next fan to answer our questions. They are a fan of GHOST9 and more particularly of Son JunHyung! Check out how they entered the fandom, the songs and content they advise to new fans, and much more! Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from? Hi! I’m Chan. I’m 22 years old and I’m a Ghostie from Argentina. How and when did you enter the fandom? I’ve been supporting the boys since the “Produce x 101” days, but after seeing the GHOST9’s “Cinematic Work”, I immediately knew I had to stan them. What are the reasons why you love your favorite group? I love GHOST9 because they are so talented and hardworking, they are ALWAYS doing their best. Not only that but their personalities are so beautiful, it feels like a second family; plus they are hilarious! Who caught your attention at first and why? The first one who caught my attention was definitely Shin! his looks always blow me away, and he’s also such a good dancer. One of my favorite Shin eras is definitely ‘W.ALL’, when he had the orange hair. Who is your bias, and why? It’s very hard to choose a bias since I love every single one of them so much, but if I had to choose one it would be JunHyung! I just love and admire him so much, I’ve never seen someone so hardworking, talented and dedicated than him. He’s such an amazing leader, always making sure everyone is okay and giving love to everyone around him. Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans? The tittle tracks I would recommend to new fans would be ‘Think of Dawn’ which is their debut, personally it’s one of my favorite debuts of all time; and also ‘Control’ which is a masterpiece. For a B-Side I would recommend ‘Triangle’ that left me speechless when it came out, since it’s so good; or also ‘Monday to Sunday’ since it has a special place in my heart. Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers? If I had to recommend an iconic JunHyung video, it would be his 2PM medley cover! I remember he posted that and the whole fandom went crazy! He’s an amazing dancer. Can you also do the same type of recommendation for the group? I already named this but I always show everyone their “Cinematic Work”. It kinda explains their universe and concept. Plus you can see they are also good actors! Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics? My favorite GHOST9 lyrics it’s definitely from the song ‘Antenna’. “Another day has gone, you’re always by my side. I will never let you go, baby you’re not alone.” That song has a very special meaning to me, so hearing those lyrics makes me emotional. Are there any words from the members you would like to share? In April, I had the opportunity to talk to JunHyung through a videocall. I was able to tell him how much I love GHOST9, how much he inspires me and how happy they make me. And he said “You make me happy, I’m your best friend”. Every time I remember that, I get teary eyes. What type of concept do you prefer: cute, dark, sexy, etc? The concept I like the most are fresh and happy concepts because they bring me so much joy and I tend to enjoy them more. Can you describe your bias in only one word? If I had to describe my bias in one WORD it would be “hardworking”. Can you recommend a cute or funny video/gif of your bias to our readers? One funny moment of my bias I would recommend is when he was telling scary stories but got scared instead.

A show I would like to see my bias in is “After School Club” since he’s really good at English. For me, my bias is… For me, my bias is my role model. What is your favorite group/bias’ influence on your daily life? Since I’m a dancer too, he inspires me to always do my best and not give up. Also I mentioned this to him in the video call, but they also encourage me to learn Korean! What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying? My favorite part of being a Ghostie is being able to find other Ghosties from around the world and create this beautiful family. Thanks to GHOST9, I am able to get to know a lot of beautiful people who I can fangirl with, so that’s the best part for me. Chan’s message for GHOST9: If GHOST9 ever gets to see this, I hope they are always happy and healthy. They make my life better and I’m so proud of them.
