Participating actors include Park BoGum, Kim YouJung, JinYoung, Chae SooBin, and Kwak DongYeon from “Love In The Moonlight”, Park SeoJun, Ahn BoHyun, Kwon NaRa, Ryu KyungSoo, and Lee JooYoung from “Itaewon Class” and Ji ChangWook, Choi SungEun, Hwang InYoup, Ji HyeWon, and Kim BoYoon from “The Sound Of Magic”. In the episodes that have been released so far, the actors’ teams have been shuffled, which has allowed them to open up and freely communicate with each other. New friendships are being forged, and it is every bit as wholesome as we imagined it would be. Watching the show through the lens of a K-Drama lover, here are 3 duos we’d love to see in a K-Drama next!
1. Hwang InYoup & Kim YouJung
Two of the brightest stars of the new generation, Hwang InYoup, and Kim YouJung are both highly sought-after actors. We’re blessed to be able to see them on the same show, which is why we might be getting greedy to see them lead a romance drama together. From their heart-fluttering height difference to their otherworldly visuals that make them look like they came straight out of a manhwa, a webtoon-based K-Drama would be perfect for them.
2. Ji ChangWook & Chae SooBin
If Hwang InYoup and Kim YouJung are the future of K-Drama, Ji ChangWook and Chae SooBin are the reigning royalty. These two have the sweetest dynamic on the show, even when they are not on the same team. In the latest episode, both Ji ChangWook and Chae SooBin choose the hanok tour as their activity of the day and get to relax and have tea. It is here that we realized that this duo would make for an iconic K-Drama couple.
3. Kwak DongYeon & Ryu KyungSoo
Finally, “Young Actors’ Retreat” gave us an unlikely friendship between a veteran at variety shows and a rookie at the same - Kwak DongYeon and Ryu KyungSoo. Both of these amazing actors are unsurprisingly immensely talented at games and are highly intelligent. However, while Kwak DongYeon is outgoing, Ryu KyungSoo is still rather shy but admitted to being a fan of the former. The way Kwak DongYeon is helping Ryu KyungSoo open up slowly but surely, all the while making it entertaining, is making our hearts melt. Kwak DongYeon and Ryu KyungSoo have stellar duality and are known for playing complex characters. We cannot help but wish for a K-Drama starring the two. Are you watching “Young Actors’ Retreat”?
